CHRIST CHURCH WARWICK – FRIDAY BULLETIN

IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES
Next weekend will be an important one for Christ Church Warwick! As referenced in yesterday’s e-mail, the congregation’s Nominating Committee, whose task was to conduct a search for the next minister of Christ Church, has unanimously recommended to the congregation a Sole Nominee to preach for the Call: the Very Reverend Dr. Martin Fair. As such, Martin, along with his wife Elaine, will be visiting Bermuda next weekend. Please read on for details, and make every effort to be with us on these important dates.

SATURDAY 7 JUNE 2025
INFORMAL MEETING WITH MARTIN AND ELAINE FAIR
On Saturday 7 June 2025, between 11:30am and 1pm, the Very Reverend Dr. Martin Fair and his wife Elaine will attend the Thorburn Hall for an informal meeting with the congregation. All are welcome and are encouraged to join.

SUNDAY 8 JUNE 2025
CHURCH SERVICE AND COMMUNION ON PENTECOST SUNDAY
At the 10:00am church service on Sunday 8 June 2025, Pentecost Sunday, the Very Reverend Dr. Martin Fair will preach as Sole Nominee and will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING AND VOTE
At a congregational meeting immediately following the church service on Sunday 8 June 2025, those members of Christ Church and adherents on the electoral roll who are present will be asked to vote on whether they support the Very Reverend Dr. Martin Fair’s Call to Christ Church.

CONGREGATIONAL LUNCHEON
After the congregational meeting on Sunday 8 June 2025, a fellowship lunch will be held in the Thorburn Hall with Martin and Elaine Fair. Again, all are welcome and are encouraged to join.

CHRIST CHURCH YOUTH (CCY)
Please note that, due to the important events in church on Sunday 8 June 2025, there will be no CCY that morning; however children are most welcome to stay in the church throughout the service. CCY will resume the following Sunday.

BIBLE STUDY
The last session of the International Presbytery’s Lent Bible Study 2025, the theme of which is Discipleship in Practice, will be held on Tuesday 3 June 2025, online, at 2:30pm Bermuda-time. To join, send an e-mail to .

SUNDAY SERVICES
Sunday service at Christ Church is held each week at 10:00am. The Order of Service can be viewed in advance on the website, on the home page www.christchurch.bm. After the service each Sunday, you will find a video recording of the service under Sunday Archives at www.christchurch.bm/about-us/sunday-archives/.

If you are aware of someone who may have difficulty getting to church, please call the church office on 236-1882, and we will endeavour to arrange a lift. Note that the office is open and can receive phone-calls and visitors Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 12pm.
