Good day,
The Friday bulletin is being distributed on Thursday due the Remembrance Day holiday on November 11 when the office will be closed.

SUNDAY WORSHIP
Sunday worship will continue to be held at 10 am but returning to the pre-Covid order of service. The Order of Service can be viewed in advance on the website on the home page www.christchurch.bm 

If you know of someone that may have difficulty getting to church, please reach out to them and offer a ride. This past year of isolation has been very difficult and we can all make a difference by assisting those who need help to get to church.

REMEMBRANCE SERVICE
Reminder that we will be holding an Act of Remembrance Service this Sunday, Remebrance Sunday, to remember those whom we lost during Covid who were not able to have the service they would wish due to the restrictions in place. Family members in attendance will be lighting candles for those they lost, and the Session Clerk will light the remaining candles.

CHRISTMAS FAIR
Please save Saturday, December 3 from 10 am to 2 pm for the CHRISTMAS FAIR. We will go back to the full fair this year after having to scale back the past couple of years due to Covid.

Help needed for the Christmas Fair:

Please note that drop off of donations will not take place until the Sunday November 27. We are not accepting books (except children’s books) or furniture of any kind.

CALLING ALL COOKS
Thanks to our many donors, the Baked Goods and Preserves Stall last year was a great success and we hope it will be even better this year. If you would like to donate any baked goods or preserves a few suggestions that always sell well:
Yeast breads and rolls
Tea Breads and muffins (banana, orange, lemon etc.) Gingerbread Cookies and squares Marmalade, jams, jellies, chutney Gluten free items sell well.
We will let you know time and place for delivery but if you have any questions please contact the two convenors –

SILENT AUCTION
We will be holding a silent auction as part of the Church Fair fundraising initiative. If you have something that you would like to donate such as boat trips, vacation homes, unique experiences, valuable items etc. please contact Sandra at the office  

FABULOUS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 25
Save the date for Friday, November 25 for our next Fabulous Friday event. There will be a presentation and discussion of the past, the present and the future of the Church of Scotland. The event will take place in Thorburn Hall at 6:30. Dinner and water will be served and you are free to bring wine or drink of your choice. If you would like to attend, please contact Sandra at the office at   or 236-1882.

BIBLE STUDY/DISCUSSION
Following the theme of Social Justice that we are following this month, we will be studying the concept of belonging utilizing the Mission project of the International Presbytery: Tent of Nations

We will use the ongoing Israeli/Palestinian challenges to discuss and examine our Christian response to issues of Social Justice. We will meet in Thorburn Hall at 7:30pm on Tuesday, November 15 and those who wish to join by zoom can follow the invitation below. A third session will follow on November 22.

UMBRELLA LEFT BEHIND
If you left a black and white umbrella at the church on Sunday, November 6, it is in the Thorburn Hall to collect after the service.

FABRIC COMMITTEE IN SEARCH OF VOLUNTEERS
John Ferris will be starting work on the maintenance of the graveyard and headstones and will require some help. If you are willing and able to assist, please contact John at

COFFEE MORNINGS ARE BACK
Coffee and cake returns! We will be continuing this every Tuesday morning from 9:30am until 11:30am. Coffee service will be held under the awnings outside of the kitchen or in the West Hall if the weather is bad. Everyone is welcome for food and fellowship!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR UPCOMING EVENTS
The Care Ministry is looking for volunteers to help set up and break down of the hall for our upcoming events, including Fabulous Friday on November 25th and the Thanksgiving and Christmas lunch on December 11th. LIFE AND WORK MAGAZINE AVAILABLE
The November edition of the Life and Work magazine are available for collection in the Thorburn Hall after the Sunday service.
