CHRIST CHURCH WARWICK – WEEKLY BULLETIN
5 JULY 2025
FOOD PROGRAMME UPDATE
Chef Zahra, of the Christ Church Warwick Food Programme, is unfortunately in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, having suffered a medical issue while at work in the church kitchen recently. Through the swift action of Food Programme volunteers, Zahra was given medical attention quickly, and it is hoped that she will make a complete recovery.
Zahra’s absence from the Food Programme has, needless to say, been felt enormously. Volunteers have been giving large amounts of time and effort to fill in. Anyone who is able to assist in the kitchen should please contact David Thompson via cell / WhatsApp on 705-4600 or e-mail at .
Well wishes for Zahra may be sent to David or through the church office. Zahra is, of course, being kept closely in our thoughts and prayers.
LOADS OF LOVE REQUEST
Loads of Love is in need of bath towels for clients who attend on Saturday mornings. Donations of towels, including any that are gently used, would be greatly appreciated. The programme would also benefit from more volunteers, even if only on an occasional or fill-in basis. If you might be able to donate your time on an occasional Saturday morning, please contact David Thompson or the church office.
LOST EARRING
A member of the congregation recently lost a small, gold hoop earring of great sentimental value, in or around church. If anyone happened to see it or pick it up for safekeeping, please do contact the Church Secretary.
REQUEST FROM FABRIC CONVENER
Fabric convener John Ferris is still looking for volunteers to help paint the exterior of the church, and for a volunteer (or volunteers) to wash down all exterior cedar doors every three months. Washing the varnished cedar with soapy water prevents mould from growing and extends the life of the varnish, saving church resources by reducing the need for costly cedar refinishing work. If you can assist at all, please call John on 704-9382, or e-mail him at .
CCY (CHRIST CHURCH YOUTH)
As of last week, CCY is on summer break. CCY and Messy Church will resume in early September.
