we thank You for bringing us to this new year.
For Your faithfulness in the days behind us
and Your mercy that meets us this day.

we acknowledge that we do not know
what this year will bring.

our need for control, and place our trust in You.

shape us in the year ahead.
Renew our hearts, guide our steps,
and make us instruments of Your love and peace.
