MESSY CHURCH – TOMORROW EVENING!
Messy Church returns tomorrow, Saturday 20th September, from 5:00pm to 6:30pm in the Thorburn Hall. This month’s theme is Look Up, Reach Out! Please see the flyer below. All ages are welcome (including parents and grandparents!) The evening includes crafts, song, and a meal. If you would like more information about Messy Church, or to RSVP, please contact Martha Kirkland at . Should you want to make a note of upcoming Messy Church dates, the next two will be Saturday 18th October and Saturday 15th November 2025.

CCY (CHRIST CHURCH YOUTH)
CCY has resumed. All children ages 3 years and up are welcome to attend CCY, held every Sunday in the Thorburn Hall during the 10am church service.

STEWARDSHIP PROMOTION
As part of the congregation’s annual review of giving, there will be a short and focused Stewardship Promotion this Sunday and next (21st and 28th September.) This will lead to the congregation’s annual pledging process.

Led by the Irene Bom, the Presbytery Worship and Prayer Promoter. These sessions will explore Biblical foundations, share real-life stories, and provide simple ways to begin or deepen your intercessory practice within your congregation. Whether you’re new to leading prayers in church, or seeking to grow in confidence, there will be space to learn, reflect, and share together. All are welcome.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE FOR DOUG KEMPE
Please see the following invitation from the family of Doug Kempe:

On Thursday 25th September, please join family and friends to celebrate the life of Doug Kempe. In keeping with Doug’s longstanding anti-tie policy, please dress accordingly. The service will be held at the Scout Hut at Admiralty Park. A cocktail reception will begin after the service. Please consider sharing rides, as parking can be difficult. Guests should arrive at the Scout Hut by 4 pm. Guests should arrive with warm tidings for this celebration of Doug.

Note that the Scout Hut is located on the North Shore entrance of Admiralty House Park, near the hockey rink.

INDUCTION OF THE VERY REVEREND DR. MARTIN FAIR
Preparations are underway for the induction of our new Minister, the Very Reverend Dr. Martin Fair, on Wednesday 15th October 2025 at 7:00pm. Please put this date in your diaries, and do your best to let others know about this exciting and important service. Members of the International Presbytery will be with us to conduct the service.

THE TEMPEST BY DEVIL’S ISLE SHAKESPEARE COMPANY
Anyone who was unable to attend the recent free preview performance of The Tempest by Devil’s Isle Shakespeare Company in the Thorburn Hall will be able to purchase tickets for upcoming performances at different locations this month. The production, a child-friendly musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Bermuda Play”, will be performed at various venues across the Island. To purchase tickets, please visit www.devils-isle.org.
