AGM
The 2025 Annual General Meeting of Christ Church Warwick will be held on Sunday 14th September, immediately after the 10am service. The meeting will be held in the Thorburn Hall, and at the close of the meeting, lunch will be served. Everyone interested in the work of the church is invited to attend.

INDUCTION OF THE VERY REVEREND DR. MARTIN FAIR
Preparations are underway for the induction of our new Minister, the Very Reverend Dr. Martin Fair, on Wednesday 15th October 2025 at 7:00pm. Please put this date in your diaries, and do your best to let others know about this exciting and important service. Members of the International Presbytery will be with us to conduct the service.
HOSPITALITY FOR THE PRESBYTERY MODERATOR
The Presbytery Moderator, the Rev Betsi Thane, the Minister of the Church of Scotland in Malta, will be conducting the service for the induction of Rev Dr. Fair. We are looking to provide hospitality for her. Betsi will be arriving in Bermuda on Monday 13th October and staying until the following Monday, 20th October. Anyone who can offer a room in their home is asked to please contact either the church office or our Interim Moderator, Rev Dr. Chalmers. Please see below for contact information.
INFORMAL MONTHLY COMMUNION NEXT SUNDAY
Due to the AGM on Sunday 14th September, the informal Communion which was on the calendar that Sunday has been brought forward one week. Following the church service next Sunday, 7th September, there will be an informal celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Communion, for members of the congregation and visitors who are members of any Christian denomination who would like to participate. Rev Dr. Chalmers, our Locum Minister, will conduct the Communion.
CCY (CHRIST CHURCH YOUTH)
CCY is on summer break for another week. CCY will resume next Sunday, 7th September. Messy Church will also resume in September, the next one being Saturday 20th September.
FREE PERFORMANCE OF THE TEMPEST FOR THE CONGREGATION
Devil’s Isle Shakespeare Company has kindly offered the congregation of Christ Church a free preview performance of their upcoming production of The Tempest. See the attached flyer regarding the preview, to be held on Tuesday 9th September at 7:30pm in the Thorburn Hall. Please RSVP with your requested number of seats to Seamus Miller of Devil’s Isle Shakespeare Co. at . The child-friendly show is a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Bermuda Play”. STEWARDSHIP PROMOTION
As will be discussed at the AGM, the Kirk Session is keen that the congregation address the financial deficit in the church accounts. As such, there will be a short and focused Stewardship Promotion, with worship on Sundays 21st and 28th September focusing on the nature of Christian Stewardship. This will be an opportunity to eliminate the deficit before the induction of our new Minister.
SEARCH FOR RENTED ACCOMMODATION
A member of the congregation is seeking rented accommodation as of the start of October or November. Matt Nester is currently looking for a studio or one-bedroom apartment in any parish, or alternatively, a medium-or-long-term house-sit. If you can assist, please contact Matt at 901-2813 or .

INTERIM MODERATOR AND LOCUM MINISTER
The Very Rev Dr. John Chalmers, the Interim Moderator of the Kirk Session of Christ Church Warwick, returned to Bermuda with Liz last Saturday. Rev Dr. Chalmers has resumed the post of Locum Minister, and will remain as Locum until Rev Dr. Fair’s induction. John and Liz can once again be reached by phone at the manse on 236-0400, and John is still contactable by e-mail at .

The church office is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm. Phone calls can be received on 236-1882, and e-mails at .
Please note that the office will be closed on Monday 1st September, in observance of the Labour Day holiday.

If you know of someone who is housebound or in need of a pastoral visit, please do contact the church. Our Locum Minister, Rev John Chalmers, can be reached directly at the contact details above. Pastoral visits may also be arranged through the church office.
